BairesDev, a leader in remote software development, is hiring a Software Engineer (Data) to build large-scale batch and streaming data pipelines. You will bridge raw data to production analytics and collaborate across teams to ensure data quality and availability at scale.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in data engineering, strong Python/SQL, Spark/PySpark, and experience with Delta Lake or Iceberg. This fully remote role offers flexible hours and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering with a data focus.
• Experience building large-scale data pipelines in Python and SQL.
• Strong hands-on with Spark, PySpark, and Spark internals.
• Experience with data lakehouse tech such as Delta Lake or Iceberg.
• Experience with Airflow for data orchestration.
• Excellent English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines for large-scale processing.
• Optimize Spark jobs for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Implement storage solutions with Delta Lake or Iceberg.
• Orchestrate data workflows with Airflow.
