Job summary

A-dec is seeking a Data Engineer to expand and optimize our data and data pipeline architecture, supporting cross-functional teams. You will enable real-time and batch ETL, write complex queries, and help scale the enterprise data warehouse to power next‑gen products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience in IT with focus on data engineering, analytics or science
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and BI environments
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Experience with version control systems (git)
• Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA)
• Expertise with Python, databases, and SQL
• Strong analytic skills with unstructured data
• Experience with data pipelines and workflow management tools

Responsibilities

• Build real-time and batch data integrations into the enterprise data warehouse
• Collaborate with data analysts and architects to improve data systems
• Write complex SQL and queries for reporting and consumption
• Assemble large, complex data sets for business requirements
• Design and implement real-time ETL and batch processing for modeling and reporting
• Provide production support for data pipelines
• Scale and tune data pipelines, databases, and SQL queries
• Build data reconciliation processes and identify data trends
• Connect data to users in mixed cloud and on-prem environments
• Improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
• Partner with data professionals to support modeling and reporting
• Translate requests into replicable analytic reports
• Create APIs and data-serving tools
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for data integrity issues
