Job summary

Foxconn Houston is hiring dedicated data engineers to ensure data is accessible, secure, and efficient within a manufacturing setting. You will collaborate with data analysts to build data pipelines from diverse sources and optimize ETL workflows using Cicada and Apache-style tools.

The role focuses on processing real-time and batch Big Data across cross-factory environments, with responsibilities including dashboard creation in Tableau and data quality assurance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience with data warehousing, ETL design, development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in ETL programming, debugging, maintenance, and monitoring for data ingestion and loading.
• Experience with data warehouse modeling and standardization.
• Experience with backend API integration.
• Experience with CI/CD processes.
• Experience with system performance tuning and monitoring.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with Hadoop, Kudu, Hive, Kafka, Spark and/or Flink.
• RESTful APIs programming with at least 1 year of dev.
• Strong Linux (CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu) knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading data development projects.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and in teams.
• Desire to learn new things and drive process improvement.
