Job summary

Schwab on-site in Texas seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join the Customer Analytics tech team. You will design and deliver data pipelines, model enterprise data with Erwin, and work with BigQuery, Airflow, and Informatica IDMC to support near real-time analytics.

Collaborate with partners, mentor teammates, and promote agile practices while ensuring data quality and compliance with standards in a hands-on, in-person environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience documenting business requirements and translating those requirements into dimensional data models using Erwin.
• 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL and advanced performance tuning.
• 3+ years of experience designing near real-time data pipelines using modern cloud technologies such as BigQuery, Airflow, Informatica IDMC.
• 3+ years of experience working on agile teams delivering data solutions
• 1+ years of experience working with omni channel customer interaction data, translating requirements into data models and pipelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to define and solve complex problems with ambiguous data in distributed systems
• Demonstrated ability to lead medium/large projects with teams across the organization
• Commitment to quality—driving high standards and tests
• Demonstrated mindset of continuous improvement and learning

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with business partners to understand data requirements and design data schemas and movement patterns
• Capturing, modeling, and documenting enterprise data views at contextual and logical levels using Erwin
• Designing and maintaining data services and real-time pipelines using current technologies
• Partnering with platform architects to ensure implementations meet published standards
• Mentoring, motivating, and supporting the team to achieve objectives in an agile setting
• Designing and maintaining solutions consistent with published standards
