Job summary

HighTower Advisors, LLC is hiring an Associate, Data Engineer in Chicago. You will build and maintain Snowflake data pipelines and RDS integrations using Python, dbt, Mulesoft, Git, and GitHub Actions.

You’ll partner with data scientists and analysts to model data for analytics and regulatory reporting, while providing on-call production support. Requires a bachelor’s degree in IT/data/AI or related field and 2–4 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, data, artificial intelligence, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience building and operating data pipelines
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Snowflake, dbt, and Mulesoft
• Curiosity-driven, self-directed approach and ability to work with non-engineers
• Strong collaboration with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders
• Attention to data accuracy and reliability

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Snowflake and RDS data pipelines using Python, dbt, Mulesoft, Git, and GitHub Actions
• Model data in Snowflake with data scientists and analysts to ensure well-structured datasets
• Provide on-call production support for pipeline failures and resolve issues promptly
• Continuously improve data quality, reliability, and performance across the platform
• Collaborate across departments to translate business requirements into durable engineering solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation of data workflows
