Job summary

Dijital Team Pty is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain data pipelines, integrations and reporting datasets that support internal and client reporting needs. The role blends hands-on data engineering with business intelligence, working with the Head of Data Practice to evolve modern data platforms.

The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into robust data models, reporting solutions and visualisations using BI tools, while ensuring data quality and timely

Qualifications

• Hands-on data engineering, data prep and reporting development.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, transformations and views.
• Understanding of relational databases, schemas and data modelling.
• Experience building dashboards/reports using BI platforms.
• Ability to translate business requirements into data and reporting logic.
• Troubleshooting data pipelines, data quality and integrations.
• Experience maintaining existing solutions while delivering new requirements.

Responsibilities

• Understand data sources and reporting requirements with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build API-based and other data integrations.
• Write/optimise SQL for data transformation.
• Use Python to process data and automate tasks.
• Maintain structured data models and schemas.
• Contribute to Databricks data processing and transformations.
• Validate data completeness and accuracy from source to reporting.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues.
