Job summary

Trideum is seeking a Data Engineer to support our government client on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA, with occasional telework coordinating with the government lead. The role focuses on building robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling analytics through scalable ETL/ELT workflows.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic, collaborative team, leverage cloud resources, and implement best practices in data governance and security while traveling up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in data-related field and relevant training.
• 3+ years designing, developing, and maintaining complex data applications at enterprise scale.
• 2+ years creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• Experience building scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with data integration and orchestration tools (Airflow, Talend, Informatica).
• Understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• US citizenship is required
• Active Secret security clearance is required

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for collection, processing, and transformation from various sources, including simulation data.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and analysts to implement data transformations for analytics.
• Ensure setup, deployment, and maintenance of data infrastructure, including databases and ETL processes, with cloud resources.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, and monitoring for data reliability.
• Optimize data processes for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Follow best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering and analytics.
• Travel occasionally, < 10%.
