Crux Climate Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain the foundations of our Market Intelligence data.

You will own pipelines, ingest survey responses, pricing series, and forecast data into a trusted data warehouse, ensuring clean, joined and refreshed data for publications and client deliverables. You will automate end-to-end survey processes, collaborate with research and product teams, and help standardize data practices across the organization as we scale through 2027 and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building production data pipelines in fast-paced environments.
• Fluent in Python and SQL, capable of writing, testing, and debugging production code.
• Proficient in cloud data warehousing, schema design, and cost management.
• Experience with ETL: extraction, transformation, loading, scheduling, monitoring.
• Knowledge of data-quality practices: validation, automated testing, version control.
• Able to translate business needs into technical requirements and plans.
• Effective communication of trade-offs and risks to stakeholders.
• Hands-on with AI-enabled tools supporting software development or data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the Market Intelligence data foundation. Build and maintain pipelines for survey responses, pricing series, and forecasts.
• Automate survey processes end to end, including ingestion, cleaning, joining, and systematization.
• Ensure data reaches reporting layers and is available for dashboards and publications without manual stitching.
• Turn recurring questions into repeatable queries and productize data workflows.
• Firm up Crux's data practices with validation, documentation, and reproducible outputs.
