Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join the team onsite in Massachusetts. The role focuses on developing ETL processes with PySpark and Databricks in an AWS environment, plus data integrations and data warehousing collaboration with other developers.

Candidates should have 4–5 years with PySpark in AWS, strong Databricks experience, and 2–3 years of AWS data integration using Spark, EMR, Glue, Kafka, S3, Redshift or RDS. Proficiency in Python and SQL is required.

An employer in the life sciences industry is looking for a Sr. Data Engineer to join the team onsite. This person will spend 60% of their day using PySpark and Databricks to develop ETL processes. This person will work with various on-premise staging platforms in AWS and will need to make use of appropriate Python libraries for 20% of their day--the team works in an AWS environment. The Sr. Data Engineer will handle data integrations and pipeline development within data warehousing for 10% of their day. They will spend the remainder of their day working with other developers to guide them and collaborate to define/refine solutions. This person will also use SQL to write complex queries, optimize and debug queries.
