Job summary

Cintas is seeking a data engineering leader to design and deliver enterprise data capabilities that support analytics and machine learning. You will own data pipelines, data modeling, and data acquisition strategies across cloud platforms, enabling analysts and data scientists to build dashboards and ML-ready views.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and cloud experience, and familiarity with Looker/Power BI. Expect collaborative SDLC work and onsite duties at Mason, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of data engineering experience.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise data pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark and one or more: Dataflow, Dataproc, Data Fusion, Hadoop, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and source control tools.
• Experience integrating data from enterprise systems into analytical platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise data engineering capabilities for analytics and ML.
• Work on data engineering pipelines, data modeling, analytics, and troubleshooting data issues.
• Assess and identify data acquisition strategies for enterprise needs.
• Design data flows to ingest data into Data Lake and Data Warehouse from transactional systems.
• Collaborate with the data team to use cloud platforms for analysis, data model development, and reports/dashboards.
• Enable Data Scientists to build views for ML use cases and Data Analysts to build reports/dashboards in Looker or Power BI.
