Job summary

The Intersect Group is seeking a Data Engineer II to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and models powering enterprise analytics and reporting in a hybrid cloud environment. You will enable trusted, well-structured data for strategic and day-to-day decision-making across on-site and cloud platforms.

You will work with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, T-SQL, Python, and SQL Server to build scalable data solutions, while adhering to data governance and QA practices in an Agile team.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of data engineering or cloud data integration experience.
• Proficient with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, T-SQL, and Python.
• Experience with SQL Server, Azure Synapse, DB2, and data warehousing.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data quality practices.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and SSIS, SSAS deployment pipelines.
• Strong analytical and collaborative, Agile-ready.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SSIS, and related tools.
• Analyze and profile data from diverse sources to determine integration requirements and data quality considerations.
• Build and maintain data transformation logic using T-SQL, Python, and PySpark within Azure and SQL Server environments.
• Consolidate multiple data sources into unified, trusted datasets to support enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Implement data quality monitoring, validation rules, and automated alerting processes.
• Support production environments by diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing long-term solutions.
• Document processes, create internal support materials, and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
