Job summary

Burger King, part of Restaurant Brands International, seeks a Data Engineer I to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes. You will develop scalable data warehouse and lake solutions and optimize storage for performance and cost.

Collaboration with data scientists and analysts is essential to ensure data accuracy and support analytics. Requirements include a BA/BS in CS or Engineering, strong Python and AWS skills, and experience with Snowflake/Redshift.

This role requires strong programming skills in Python, and proficiency in AWS technologies, including Infrastructure as Code and key services such as S3, KMS, Glue/EMR, SNS,SQS, and Athena. Collaboration with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accuracy and consistency is a crucial aspect of this role.RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week out of our office in Miami, FL.What You'll Do:Design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines and ETL processes to facilitate seamless data flow.Develop and maintain scalable data warehouse and data lake solutions to meet growing organizational data needs.Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for enhanced performance and cost efficiency.Collaborate closely with data scientists and analysts to support their analytical requirements and ensure data accuracy and consistency.Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly.What You'll Need To Succeed:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience in the software engineering field will also be considered.Strong programming skills in Python.Proficient in AWS, with the ability to design and architect AWS Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS Cloudformation, CDK, or Serverless Framework.
