The Data Solutions Engineering team plays a critical role in shaping how Conde Nast leverages data. We build data pipelines, products, and tools that enable Data Scientists, Analysts, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Executives to solve complex use cases across the business. We are seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines across various business areas such as subscriptions, video, clickstream, commerce, social, and advertising.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design, build, and test batch and streaming data pipelines capable of processing large volumes of data.
  2. Build efficient code to transform raw data into datasets suitable for analysis, reporting, and machine learning models.
  3. Collaborate with other data engineers to implement a shared technical vision.
  4. Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to release.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, or relevant professional experience.
  2. 2.5+ years of experience in distributed data processing, designing scalable and automated software systems.
  3. Experience processing structured and unstructured data for analysis and reporting.
  4. Experience with data modeling, batch pipeline design, and implementation.
  5. Experience building batch or real-time data pipelines.
  6. Proficiency in Python/PySpark or Scala.
  7. Proficiency in SQL.
  8. Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark (Databricks).
  9. Experience with cloud infrastructures like AWS or GCP.
  10. Exposure to orchestration platforms such as Airflow (Astronomer).
  11. Attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to work independently within a cross-functional team.
  12. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
  13. Experience with Git version control and related tools.
  14. Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Salary Range:

$119K - $137K
