Job summary

BinTech Group is seeking a data engineer to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of basic data pipelines and data integration processes. You will support collection, processing, and storage of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, and work with relational databases and data warehouses using basic SQL queries.

You will use Python or Java to support data processing and automation tasks under supervision, assist in ETL workflows, and collaborate with senior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in CS/CIS/Engg/IT/Data Science or related field.
• 12 months of experience in related occupation after degree.

About the Role

Assist in design, development, maintenance of basic data pipelines and data integration processes using standard data engineering tools and techniques. Support the collection, processing, and storage of structured and unstructured data from multiple data sources. Work with relational databases and data warehouses to store, retrieve, and manage data using basic SQL queries. Perform data cleaning, validation, and transformation tasks to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Use a programming language such as Python, Java, or a similar language to support data processing and automation tasks under supervision. Assist in implementing and supporting basic ETL workflows and data movement processes. Collaborate with senior data engineers, data analysts, and software development teams to support data-related requirements. Monitor data workflows and help identify and resolve basic data issues following established procedures. Follow documented coding standards, data governance policies, and security guidelines. Maintain documentation related to data pipelines, data models, and system processes. Participate in testing, code reviews, and troubleshooting activities as part of team-based development.

Requirements

Position Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or its foreign equivalent in CS, CIS, Engg (any), IT, Data Science or related field + 12 months of experience in any related occupation.

Travel Requirements:Travel to unanticipated client/work locations throughout the US - Travel will occur on an as-needed basis depending on client project requirements (attending meetings, gathering project requirements, providing on-site technical analysis). This may range from 0-15% of the time, and some months may not involve any travel.
