Job summary

EOG Resources, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer I to implement business application services and integration projects within the oil and gas E&P lifecycle.

You will develop, maintain and troubleshoot REST APIs and SQL/PL/SQL code across development, staging and production environments. A CS/engineering degree and strong Python/SQL skills are required, with Jenkins CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering or other equivalent technical degree.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; able to write and understand PL/SQL.
• Familiar with CI/CD architectures (e.g., Jenkins) and NoSQL databases.

Job description

Data Engineer I is responsible for implementing business applications services and integrations projects. These projects will involve developing, maintaining and troubleshooting Rest APIs, SQL and Pl/Sql code bases in development, staging and production environments specific to oil and gas E&P cycle.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in computer science, engineering or other equivalent technical degree.
• Should be proficient in Python. Should know SQL or other data query languages.
• Ability to understand and deploy existing CI/CD architectures like Jenkins.
• Knowledge of noSQL databases like Elasticsearch, MongoDB a plus.
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and messaging (RabbitMQ) knowledge preferred.
