Job summary

Jobtailor in Arlington, VA seeks a senior data engineer to lead data engineering and analytics projects on Palantir Foundry, building scalable pipelines and driving data architecture standards.

You will collaborate with analysts and product leads, mentor junior engineers, and ensure data quality and provenance through Data Lineage and Foundry tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or analytics engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade pipelines, data connections, and ontologies in Palantir Foundry (Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Ontology Manager, Data Lineage, Workshop).
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; comfort with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Traditional data lakehouse experience (Databricks, Snowflake, dbt).
• Familiarity with Foundry Data Connection architecture — setting up sources and syncs from external systems.
• Proven delivery in DoD or federal environments.
• Familiarity with Navy, DON, or DoD logistics, financial, or personnel data landscapes.
• Strong communication skills; able to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Palantir Foundry Data Engineer or Application Developer certification preferred.
• Eligibility to obtain US Government Security Clearance

Responsibilities
