The Data Engineer, Geo Operations at Google will execute full-cycle processing pipelines of complex data within a guided project scope, with emphasis on managing cloud infrastructure and geospatial platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience coding in one or more programming languages.
  • 1 year of experience designing data pipelines and dimensional data modeling for synch and asynch system integration and implementation using internal (e.g., Flume, etc.) and external stacks (DataFlow, Spark, etc.).
  • Experience working with data models by performing exploratory queries and scripts.
  • Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including Esri software (ArcGIS) or FME for spatial data integration and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Implement business infrastructure and solutions to build and scale common frameworks for use by 3PDO Data Engineers and Operations team members.
  • Develop and maintain data models, pipelines, and exchange formats to assist in the delivery, visualization, and analysis of geospatial data, with guidance.
  • Provide ongoing support for client users through maintenance of reports, queries, and dashboards.
  • Partner cross-functionally to analyze root-causes of process errors and deliver faster and better partner care experiences through automation and self service.
  • Perform data analysis and profiling utilizing either established or custom tooling/infrastructure as needed.
