Job summary

Mapbox ищет инженера по обработке данных для команды Roads в США. Вы будете отвечать за существующие конвейеры обработки данных, их улучшение и масштабирование, а также проектирование новых потоков и мониторинг производительности.

Mapbox provides a real-time location platform with tools for location-aware businesses to support navigation. Its applications, data, SDKs, and APIs enable organizations to create customized experiences. The Mapbox Roads team builds global road networks for visual and navigational use.

Задачи:

• Take ownership of, improve, scale, and iterate on existing data processing pipelines
• Design and implement new data processing pipelines
• Collect and monitor performance metrics
• Discuss and implement security best practices
• Develop software and technology for road features, navigation, and high-definition maps

Требования:

• Good knowledge of at least one programming language: C++, Python, Scala, or Java
• Experience with AWS services or another cloud platform
• Comfortable with SQL and a thorough understanding of SQL engine basics
• Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
• Experience with a workflow management tool such as Airflow, Oozie, or Luigi
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to justify technical decisions
• Creative, resourceful, and innovative problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
