Job summary

Goodville Mutual Casualty Company is seeking a Data Engineer to lead optimization of data workflows, improve database performance, and build robust ETL pipelines. The role ensures a scalable data infrastructure aligned with business needs and requires extensive experience in P&C insurance data environments.

The position involves in-office work three days a week at 625 W Main St, New Holland, PA, with two remote days approved by HR. Domestic travel to various offices and vendor sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 60 months of data engineering experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
• 60 months of ETL development experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
• 60 months’ experience using ETL/data integration tools (SSIS, PySpark/PySQL or equivalent).
• 60 months’ experience with cloud-based data orchestration, messaging, and serverless computing (SQL, SSIS, ADF, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions or equivalent).
• 60 months’ experience with relational databases (SQL Server, DB2, Azure SQL, Fabric Lakehouse) and performance tuning.
• 60 months’ experience with API technologies (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON) and scripting (Python, Shell) for automation.
