Job summary

YouVersion is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that drive engagement and growth for the Bible App globally.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification, and strong Python/Go/Java/C++ skills, plus experience with Airflow, dbt, and cloud data solutions. This on‑site role collaborates with Security, Core Services, and Product teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with data engineering and building data pipelines.
• Ability to design and optimize ETL processes and data models.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive data awareness and provide analytics teams with trends and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to ensure comprehensive data collection.
• Plan, build, and deliver reliable ETL processes and real‑time analytics pipelines.
• Engage with agile teams and own projects end‑to‑end.
• Manage data governance for user events in the Bible app.
