WGU is actively hiring a Data Engineer in Salt Lake City to design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data architectures for analytics. You will consolidate diverse data sources, ensure data security across cloud environments, and deliver insightful reports to stakeholders using Cognos and Tableau.

Applicants should have a MIS/CS degree with 2+ years in data engineering or BI, and comfortable working in an agile environment to drive timely data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, CS, or a related field; 2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, Big Data, BI, or Software Engineering.
• Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for education requirements (1 year exp per year of education).

Responsibilities

• Develops and builds ETL/ELT data pipelines for data analysis.
• Creates and maintains optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Keeps data separated and secure across multiple cloud environments.
• Assembles large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.
• Delivers ad-hoc and analytical reports to internal users and teams.
• Monitors and maintains ETL/ELT jobs and troubleshoots load issues.
• Performs data/technology discovery from new sources and third-party applications.
• Creates complex reports and dashboards in Cognos and Tableau.
