PayIt is a GovTech company focused on modernizing government interactions. We seek a data engineer to ensure high-quality data access across reporting, dashboards and data warehouses, collaborating with the broader engineering team.

You'll deploy in cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), build ETL and data products, and support analytics with modern tooling like dbt, Dagster or Airflow. Competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL experience and proven expertise handling large volumes of data, including data modeling with dbt.
• Expertise in Python with a working knowledge of test-driven development.
• Experience deploying software to public cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL and cloud data storage: Postgres, MongoDB, Snowflake.
• Experience building ETL solutions and transforming data between sources.
• Experience with Dagster, Prefect or Airflow.
• Experience building for analytic reporting and BI.
• Experience with Tableau/Looker/Superset.

Responsibilities

• In this position you will work closely with Data Engineers to ensure the business has access to high quality, accurate data via reporting, data visualization tools, data warehouse and BI tools.
