Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Data Engineer to partner with Principal Data Engineers. You will keep pipelines healthy, resolve bugs, and deliver well-modeled, trusted data for reporting and analytics. Expect heavy SQL and Python work, database modeling, and contributions to dashboards and self-service analytics.

Experience with Databricks is a strong plus, with on-site, contract-to-hire work in Coppell, TX. The role offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL with advanced joins, window functions, CTEs and performance tuning.
• Python for data processing (pandas or PySpark) and automation.
• Hands-on database/data warehouse modeling (dimensional and normalized).
• Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Write SQL and Python to maintain and optimize data pipelines.
• Design and optimize database models for reporting and analytics.
• Help ship projects powering dashboards, self-service analytics, and data science.
