Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain production-grade ELT pipelines on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform using Python, PySpark, and SQL. You will work with BI, architects, and offshore teams to deliver enterprise data solutions while advancing medallion architecture and data governance practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (CS/Engineering).
• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering delivering production workloads.
• Strong experience with Databricks, Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience troubleshooting Terraform deployments and cloud infra issues.
• Solid understanding of Delta Lake and medallion architecture principles.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub CI/CD.
• Experience collaborating with offshore engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ELT pipelines on Databricks using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Package and deploy reusable pipeline components using Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs).
• Implement and manage CI/CD workflows across environments with Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Provide delivery oversight for offshore teams ensuring quality and standards.
• Engage in sprint planning, technical design reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Address data quality, performance, and reliability issues.
• Explore GenAI, agent-based workflows to modernize data delivery.
• Support data modeling and governance using Unity Catalog.
