Job summary

Outmarket is hiring a Data Engineer to own the data plane powering analytics and AI products. You will turn messy insurance data into clean, trustworthy datasets for insights and automation. You’ll work with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse, building ingestion pipelines from multiple data sources and ensuring data quality.

This role offers remote-first flexibility, ownership from day one, and the chance to help build an AI-native product from the ground up with strong equity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production data pipelines with strong SQL and Python.
• Relational modeling experience with PostgreSQL and large analytical datasets.
• Track record turning messy source data into reliable product capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate ingestion pipelines from agency management systems, carriers, and documents.
• Design transformation layers (bronze → silver → fact) and the models that serve insights and dashboards.
• Model and tune data across Postgres and ClickHouse for correctness, performance, and cost.
• Define dataset configurations, KPIs, and reconciliation checks that keep numbers trustworthy.
• Orchestrate reliable, observable data jobs and own data quality end to end.
