Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Data Engineer to build and optimize data pipelines for enterprise AI applications. You will work with researchers and engineers to deliver end-to-end data solutions and shape product decisions with your insights.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of production experience, strong Python/SQL skills, and familiarity with BigQuery, Airflow, and dbt, plus optional Kubernetes and Java/Golang knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade data processing systems.
• Strong command of Python and SQL.
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam, Spark, or Flink, and large-scale data system design.
• Ability to transform unstructured data into performant datasets in relational databases and blob storage.
• Familiarity with analytics tools like BigQuery, Airflow, or dbt.

Responsibilities

• Work directly on new customer experiences built on Cohere's advanced AI systems.
• Collaborate daily with researchers and engineers to drive real outcomes.
• Run end-to-end implementations and see initiatives through to deployment.
• Partner across research, marketing, sales, and finance to influence product and strategy.
