Job summary
BRAINS WORKGROUP, INC. in New York City is seeking a Senior Data Engineer - CRM Support Consultant for a 3-6 month contract with potential extensions and hire.
The role focuses on data excellence, CRM governance, and application ownership for Prism CRM and related platforms, with 5 on-site days in NYC. You will coordinate data quality, user support, platform integrations, and reporting, collaborating with vendors and business users.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in CRM Support, Data Management, Business Analysis, or Application Support.
- Strong understanding of data quality management and governance principles.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working directly with business users and external vendors.
Responsibilities
- Serve as business application owner for Datazoic Prism CRM and the Buy the Sell Event Management Platform.
- Manage day-to-day application support activities and vendor engagement.
- Coordinate platform upgrades, enhancements, defect resolution, and documentation.
- Establish and maintain data quality standards and controls across data domains.
- Support CRM operations: onboarding, user training, and data maintenance.
- Lead platform integrations with IPREO, BlueMatrix, SendGrid, and others.
- Oversee project timelines, gather requirements, and coordinate UAT and reporting.

Data Engineer - CRM Support Consultant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Excellence & Application Owner to oversee business operations, data quality management, and application ownership for Prism CRM and the Buy the Sell Event Management Platform. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams to ensure data integrity, operational excellence, and successful delivery of system enhancements.
The ideal candidate combines data management, project coordination, application support, and stakeholder management skills with a strong customer-service mindset.
- Serve as the business application owner and subject matter expert for:
- Datazoic Prism CRM
- Buy the Sell Event Management Platform
- Manage day-to-day application support activities.
- Coordinate platform upgrades, enhancements, defect resolution, and vendor engagement.
- Maintain application documentation, procedures, and knowledge repositories.
- Establish and maintain data quality standards and controls.
- Monitor data health across contacts, accounts, research coverage, interactions, subscriptions, and event data.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality concerns.
- Develop procedures for ongoing data governance and stewardship.
- Support daily operation of Prism CRM.
- Onboard and train new users.
- Handle employment change processing and contact maintenance.
- Vet new analyst contact lists prior to import.
- Configure and maintain research distribution lists.
- Manage research publication subscriptions.
- Support monthly interaction uploads and data aggregation processes.
- Support and monitor integrations with:
- IPREO
- BlueMatrix
- SendGrid
- Visible Alpha
- CorpAxe
- Commcise
- Dealogic
- Other third-party research and event platforms
- Manage enhancement requests from business users.
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Coordinate project timelines, milestones, and vendor deliverables.
- Provide status reporting to stakeholders and management.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and LLM technologies to improve:
- Event management workflows
- User support processes
- Data cleansing activities
- Contact enrichment
- Research distribution processes
- Business productivity
- Partner with technology teams on AI-enabled business initiatives.
- Produce ad-hoc business reports for:
- Commissions
- Coverage
- Client interactions
- Research readership
- Event participation
- Support quarterly McLagan data submission processes.
- Partner with Power BI teams to ensure data availability and quality for enterprise reporting.
- 2-5 years of experience in CRM Support, Data Management, Business Analysis, or Application Support.
- Strong understanding of data quality management and governance principles.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working directly with business users and external vendors.
- Experience supporting Datazoic Prism CRM.
- Knowledge of Equity Research, Sales Trading, or Capital Markets workflows.
- Experience with event management platforms.
- Exposure to project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
- Experience with AI, Microsoft Copilot, or LLM-related initiatives.
- Familiarity with Power BI reporting environments.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
