Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is looking for a Data Engineer (Contract) to own the People/HR data pipelines in a healthcare environment.

You will transform messy source data into clean, trusted pipelines at scale and build production-quality data products used by analytics and reporting teams. You’ll work hands-on with Azure Databricks, Spark, SQL, and Azure Data Factory to design and implement end-to-end data workflows, with emphasis on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building production data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Spark, and SQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT in cloud data platforms.

Build the People data backbone for a major healthcare organization

You know how to turn messy source data into clean, trusted pipelines. Here, you’ll do that at scale for high-impact People / HR data.

You’ll own hands-on development in Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory, building and enhancing data pipelines and data products that the People organization will actually run on.

No endless meetings, no vague direction. You ramp up fast, understand existing sources and requirements, and ship production-quality work.

What You'll Work On

You’ll be focused on the People / HR data domain, building the foundation for analytics, reporting, and downstream integrations:

• People / HR data products
• Data transformations and processing logic
• Production data workflows and orchestration
• HRIS and related integrations
• Performance, quality, and reliability of data flows

Your tools of the trade will be Azure Databricks, Spark, SQL, and Azure Data Factory.

This is about building real, production-ready People data pipelines — not just prototypes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and building data pipelines for the People / HR domain
• Enhancing existing HR data products and creating new ones as needs evolve
• Developing transformation and processing logic in Azure Databricks using Spark and SQL
• Orchestrating and scheduling end-to-end pipelines in Azure Data Factory
• Quickly understanding existing data sources, requirements, and integrations
• Delivering reliable, production-ready data solutions with minimal oversight
• Applying modern data engineering practices for quality, maintainability, and performance
• Troubleshooting and tuning pipelines to ensure stability and scalability

What We're Looking For

• Strong, hands-on experience with Azure Databricks
• Deep experience with Spark and SQL for data transformation
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory and pipeline orchestration
• Solid command of modern data engineering practices
• Proven ability to ramp up quickly on new data domains and sources
• Comfort working independently and owning deliverables end to end

You’ve already built production-grade pipelines in Databricks and ADF, and you know how to own that space without a lot of hand-holding. You can look at existing HR or operational data, work through the requirements, and turn it into robust, performant data products that business teams can depend on.

If you’ve worked with HR/People data, understand HR processes and workflows, and have touched HRIS integrations — especially with Infor — you’ll be able to add value even faster. Experience building Power BI dashboards on top of your data products is a nice bonus.
