Job summary

Peoples Gas System is seeking a Data Engineer in Florida to design and maintain complex data models, data sources and ingestion pipelines. You will collaborate with developers, business owners and IT to enable data migration, governance and analytics for decision making.

The role emphasizes creating scalable database solutions, optimization, and adherence to SDLC with minimal supervision, using Python/SQL and cloud technologies across Azure, Snowflake, GCP and AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, engineering or related field.
• 5 years of relevant work experience or 2 years as DBA/Data Engineer.
• Proficient in Python, R or SQL programming for databases.
• Experience with Oracle/MS SQL Server/SAP HANA.
• Cloud data platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, GCP, AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data models for analytics and AI.
• Plan and implement production data updates following SDLC.
• Provide SQL/NoSQL support to developers and stakeholders.
• Ensure data governance, quality and documentation for audits.
