Oakland is a data and AI consultancy in Leeds seeking engineers with a passion for data, coding, and problem solving. You’ll work on data platforms, BI, web apps, and AI solutions as part of a 25+ engineering team. You’ll grow by picking up new tools and technologies and delivering the best client outcomes.

The role emphasizes polyglot programming, collaboration with clients, and delivering practical solutions across diverse projects in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with SQL, Python, and at least one other programming language.
• Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of modern data platforms such as Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks.
• Front-end software engineering for web apps with React or similar.
• Familiar with DevOps practices including IaC, CI/CD, and tools like Docker, Terraform or Kubernetes.
• AI engineering and architecture experience (GenAI, LLMs, RAG, Agentic solutions, Prompt Engineering).
• Azure certifications such as DP-750, DP-700 or AI-focused exams such as AI-901, AI-103.
• Snowflake SnowPro Core certification and similar cloud/data/AI certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work across data platforms, BI, web apps, and AI solutions to solve client problems.
• Be a technology polyglot and adapt quickly to new tools and environments.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to select the best technical solutions.
• Contribute to a broad set of projects with a community of 25+ engineers.
