Job summary

Merchants Bancorp in Carmel, Indiana is seeking a Data Engineer with 3+ years of experience to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures. You will work with Python, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure DevOps to build robust data integrations and governance.

This role focuses on investment data, market analytics, and trusted reporting. You will architect end-to-end data models, ensure data quality, and collaborate with enterprise teams on governance and documentation, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud ETL development.
• Proficient in Python for data engineering, automation, and integration tasks.
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar).
• Experience with version control (Git-based).
• Hands-on experience integrating systems (Bulk API, REST API, or connector-based ingestion).
• Experience with data quality frameworks and data governance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, testing, and releases.
• Maintain version control across code, pipelines, and deployment artifacts.
• Build and maintain Salesforce integrations for syncing data to the enterprise data warehouse.
• Architect and manage Bronze/Silver/Gold Lakehouse structures per medallion concepts.
• Develop data models for investment reporting and market analytics.
• Ensure schema alignment, data quality, and auditability across inbound flows.
• Implement monitoring, validation, and reconciliation for trusted reporting.
• Maintain metadata and data governance documentation.
