Job summary

Harrison Street Asset Management (HSAM) is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms. The role focuses on ETL, data architecture, and analytics infrastructure to support data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, and hands-on experience with Azure data services. Collaboration with multiple teams and adherence to security standards are essential for success at HSAM.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role.
• Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Advanced SQL knowledge with relational databases.
• Experience building and optimizing Azure data pipelines.
• Root cause analysis on data/processes for business questions.
• Strong analytics with unstructured datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ETL into Enterprise Data Platform.
• Create and maintain data marts; model schemas and optimizations.
• Integrate data from databases, APIs, and streaming sources; ensure data quality.
• Develop data transformations for analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document processes.
• Monitor pipelines and ensure data reliability and security.
