Job summary

Omnicom in New York is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering Team, building and optimizing ETL jobs, data pipelines, and cloud data warehouses on AWS.

You will work with Analytics, Data Science, IT and Investment teams, contribute to batch and real-time data solutions, and mentor junior analysts. This hands-on role demands Python expertise and strong SQL, with a focus on data quality and performance. The role requires in-office attendance three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM field.
• 3+ years building data pipelines with ETL tech and big data technologies.
• 3+ years Python programming in Linux.
• Experience deploying production cloud services in AWS (EC2, S3, Redshift).
• Ability to translate business requirements to data workflows.
• Cross-functional collaboration with analytics, data science, IT, and investment teams.
• Experience in advertising/media data and media math concepts.
• Familiarity with Google Campaign Manager, Xandr, or Adobe Analytics datasets.
• Experience with Google Cloud products and Microsoft PowerAutomate is a plus.
• Experience with Jira and Tableau is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Expand the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) with accurate reporting data.
• Collaborate on cloud architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor data analysts and review planned workflows.
• Respond to data discrepancies between EDW and sources.
• Partner with stakeholders to meet data delivery needs.
• Document ETL processes and maintain knowledge base.
