Compunnel Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in Rhode Island.

You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data solutions, focusing on an eligibility data platform and collaborating across multiple teams in an Agile environment. The role requires deep Oracle SQL and PL/SQL expertise, a strong data modeling foundation, and experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and ETL tools.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Math, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Hands-on Oracle SQL/PL/SQL with query tuning.
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong relational DB concepts and data modeling.
• Experience with ETL tools; Informatica preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions and platforms.
• Develop and optimize Oracle SQL/PL/SQL queries, including performance tuning.

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Data Platform organization and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-scale data solutions.

This role focuses on building and supporting a critical eligibility data platform by combining strong data engineering fundamentals with cloud and data movement expertise.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to design scalable data solutions while collaborating across multiple teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions and platforms supporting business-critical systems.
• Develop and optimize complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL queries, including performance tuning.
• Participate actively in solution design, systems analysis, and technical architecture discussions.
• Support data ingestion and movement across platforms using cloud-based and ETL tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate solution implementation and delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data and performance-related issues.
• Contribute to cloud-based data solutions leveraging Azure or AWS.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance within the team.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans.
• Follow Agile/Scrum practices and participate in related ceremonies.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and support knowledge sharing across the team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including query tuning.
• Experience working with at least one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS).
• Solid understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling.
• Experience with data integration and ETL tools; familiarity with tools such as Informatica is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with distributed or cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, adapt to new technologies, and solve complex challenges.
• Working knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake data warehousing solutions.
• Exposure to cloud-based data ingestion tools such as Azure Data Factory.
• Experience using workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Familiarity with modern data platform architectures and cloud-native designs.
