Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer to support and enhance enterprise data integration and warehousing solutions. This role will focus heavily on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing existing ETL data pipelines while contributing to ongoing data warehouse improvements and standardization initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise and experience working with AWS-based data engineering tools, Snowflake/Oracle, and DBT.

Qualifications

• Experience with data engineering, ETL, or data integration development.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to write complex queries.
• Experience with Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue for data integration and transformation.
• Experience using DBT for data modeling and transformation.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining production data pipelines, including AWS DMS.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platform architecture and data warehousing concepts.
• Python experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting data quality, governance, and warehouse optimization.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies.

Skills and Requirements

Experience with data engineering, ETL, or data integration development.

Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.

Experience working with Snowflake as a cloud data warehouse platform.

Hands-on experience with AWS Glue for data integration and transformation.

Experience using DBT for data modeling and transformation workflows.

Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and best practices.

Experience troubleshooting and maintaining production data pipelines. Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).

Familiarity with cloud-based data platform architecture and data warehousing concepts.

Python experience is a plus, but not a primary requirement for this role.

Experience supporting data quality, governance, and warehouse optimization initiatives.

Exposure to Agile methodologies and backlog-driven development environments.
