Job summary

The Bachrach Group is searching for a Data Engineer to join a mid-sized fintech firm’s NYC data team. You’ll own end-to-end data pipelines, model expansion with dbt, and orchestrate workflows using Dagster, Dagster/Airflow. Expect hands-on work with Snowflake, AWS integrations, and focus on data quality for lending and payments.

Ideal candidates have ~2 years in data engineering, Snowflake expertise, and AWS experience. A CS/DS degree is required; exposure to AI tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• About two years of data or analytics engineering experience.
• Experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
• Experience with Dagster or Airflow workflow orchestration.
• AWS experience including S3, IAM and CloudFormation.
• Experience handling financial data (fintech) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/DS or related field.

Responsibilities

A mid-sized, growing fintech firm is hiring a Data Engineer to join its established data team in NYC.

This role offers hands‑on work with a modern data stack, close collaboration with the business, and the opportunity to take ownership of projects supporting lending and financial operations.

What you'll work on:

• Building and maintaining data pipelines and ELT processes
• Developing and expanding dbt models
• Scheduling and monitoring workflows using Dagster
• Building Snowflake and AWS integrations
• Improving data quality and reconciliation processes

What you'll need:

• Around two years of data or analytics engineering experience
• Snowflake experience
• Experience with Dagster or Airflow
• AWS experience, including S3, IAM, and CloudFormation
• Experience working with financial data, such as lending, payments, or fintech
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field

Exposure to AI tools or LLM pipelines is a plus.

$130K-$150K base salary plus bonus. Four days onsite in NYC.
