Job summary

Humana is seeking a Data Engineer 2 to join our data platform team. You will design and implement data pipelines, ingest data from diverse sources, and build tools that leverage AI/ML and big-data techniques to transform data into actionable insights.

You will work within an Agile environment, following CI/CD practices to deliver reliable data solutions. The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, adherence to guidelines, and supporting initiatives to improve member experiences through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of technical experience.
• 5 years of experience with Databricks, Spark, and Scala.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database models.
• Document processes related to database design, configuration, and performance.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing software applications/infrastructure.
• Experience with APIs to expose large datasets to apps and analytics solutions.
• Experience with Azure Cloud: ADF, Synapse, ADLS; CI/CD and test automation.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Data Engineer:

• Ingests data from internal and external sources utilizing cloud native platforms and software development best practices and patterns.
• Develops software tools that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize, and transform data into insights and actions that enables Humana to better serve our members.
• Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.
• Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
• Follows established guidelines/procedures.
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of technical experience

In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$97,900 - $133,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
