Job summary

A tech solutions company in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with 7-10 years in the industry. The role demands expertise in Python and SQL, along with strong communication skills to collaborate with various teams. Ideal candidates will have a background in the banking sector, specifically in Fraud, Risk, and Payment systems, and lead small teams. This position requires on-site work five days a week with opportunities to work outside prescribed hours for UAT and production support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of industry experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong knowledge in SQL for database management.
• Hands-on experience writing Python scripts from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Minimum 7-10 years of Industry experience as a Data engineering
• Good Communication - build relationships with Business + Product + Technology teams, work with multiple stakeholders
• Hands on knowledge in Python who can write python scripts from scratch
• Strong SQL Knowledge
• Banking Domain knowledge preferably in Fraud, Risk and Payment Systems
• Prior experience of leading a team of minimum 2-3 Data Engineers
• flexible to work outside of prescribed working hours - UAT/Production support experience
• This position is based in Client Office in Vegas, and it is completely WFO (5 days a week)
• Strong Debugging and error handling skills
• Quick learner and have skill to understand existing code base to apply new business logic

Nice to Have

• Someone who knows both Python and SAS will have an advantage
• Worked in live UAT/Prod support environments
