Job summary

Calance in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data models for analytics and reporting. This onsite role collaborates with engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure reliable data infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in data engineering and strong SQL/PLSQL, Python, and Oracle skills, plus data warehousing expertise and API integration experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, and Python.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and large datasets.
• Experience with data pipelines and API integrations.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Analytics, or related field.

Responsibilities

Location:

100% Onsite in Irvine, CA; transition to San Dimas, CA in 2027

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrations, and data models.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and curated datasets for analytics and reporting.
• Work with APIs, databases, flat files, and multiple source systems.
• Troubleshoot data quality, pipeline, and SQL performance issues.
• Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams.
• Ensure data security, reliability, and governance.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, and Python.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and large datasets.
• Experience with data pipelines and API integrations.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Analytics, or related field.

Preferred:

Oracle Cloud/OCI, ADW, ATP, GoldenGate, Spark/PySpark, Lakehouse/Medallion architecture, Tableau/Power BI/OAC, and data governance.

Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Irvine and transition to San Dimas in 2027.
