Job summary

PHT Staffing LLC client seeks an experienced Data Engineer for a full-time role in Dallas, TX. The position requires hands-on expertise in Databricks, Azure cloud services, PySpark, Spark SQL, and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

A face-to-face interview is required, and work authorization in the United States is stated as a prerequisite. The ideal candidate will design and optimize data pipelines, implement Medallion Architecture, and ensure robust data modeling and governance across ADLS

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks; expert-level expertise preferred.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data engineering solutions.
• Strong proficiency in PySpark, Apache Spark, Spark SQL, and Python.
• Extensive experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong experience with Delta Lake and Medallion Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2).
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance data pipelines.
• Experience with Databricks Jobs, Workflows, clusters, notebooks, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data architecture.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of Azure security, governance, and access controls.
• Databricks Certification is a strong plus; certified candidates will be given first preference
