- Develop robust ingestion, synchronisation, transformation, validation, and publishing workflows for AI training datasets.
- Prepare, normalise, enrich, and package multimodal data for annotation and machine learning applications.
- Implement automated data quality checks covering completeness, integrity, calibration, timestamps, and consistency.
- Establish reusable data models, metadata standards, data lineage, and dataset versioning practices.
- Optimise pipeline performance, reliability, monitoring, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers, annotation teams, quality specialists, and platform engineers to resolve data challenges.
- Contribute to technical documentation, best practices, and continuous improvements.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience with a Robotics focus.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience using distributed data processing frameworks.
- Experience working with unstructured and multimodal data, including video, images, LiDAR, GNSS, IMU, and telemetry.
- Proven ability to build end-to-end pipelines that produce curated, high-quality datasets for AI/ML training.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, object storage, data lakes/lakehouses, and workflow orchestration tools.
- Solid understanding of data quality, metadata management, schema evolution, data lineage, and reproducible pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control and modern data engineering best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mentality, and the ability to work effectively within an Agile engineering team.
