Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to build and lead data infrastructure and pipelines within the Supply Chain Intelligence team.

The role focuses on delivering clean, actionable data for operational teams and collaborating with researchers, data engineers, BI engineers, and product managers. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain infrastructure to answer data-driven questions using software engineering best practices, data management fundamentals, data storage principles, distributed systems advances, and operational excellence practices.
  • Create datasets that analysts and data scientists use to generate actionable insights.
  • Define data engineering processes that use multiple AWS services to improve accessibility, redundancy, data integrity, cost effectiveness, and storage requirements.
  • Develop scalable solutions that support faster product and model development aligned to business needs, while anticipating future requirements.
  • Partner with Research/Applied Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and Product/Program Managers to clarify business and technical requirements and support smoother program delivery.
  • Work with other technology and data engineering teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide range of sources using AWS data technologies.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of the data infrastructure.
  • Design and manage data audit, quality, and reconciliation processes in collaboration with stakeholders.

Job description

This Data Engineer role is part of AWS MOTOR (Manufacturing Operations, Transportation Operations, and Reverse) within the Supply Chain Intelligence team. The position focuses on building and leading data infrastructure and pipelines that deliver clean, actionable data for operational teams.

Role Responsibilities

Compensation and Location

Location: Austin, TX (onsite)

Salary: USD 132,100 - 178,800 per year

Minimum experience: 3 years
