Job summary

Tactica Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the U.S. Army INSCOM APOGEE program at Fort Gordon, focusing on data architectures, automation, and scalable data solutions for GEOINT needs.

You will work with GEOINT analysts and DoD partners to design data structures, models, and tools to enable timely, actionable intelligence and decision-making. A TS/SCI clearance is required along with advanced data analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• MA or MS in Data Science, Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field with 5 years CURRENT Intelligence.
• BA or BS in Data Science, Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field with 10 years CURRENT Intelligence Analysis.
• HS diploma/GED with Specialized Training and 15 years Intelligence Analysis, incl. 10 years GEOINT/Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate data-driven approaches to client intelligence requirements.
• Define data storage, access, use, integration, and management across data regimes and systems.
• Collaborate with GEOINT analysts to create data architectures, automation, and models.

Tactica Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the U.S. Army INSCOM APOGEE program at Fort Gordon. This is a high-impact opportunity to design and implement data-driven solutions in direct support of critical Army and national intelligence requirements.In this role, you will bring deep knowledge of data architecture, integration, governance, process automation, and programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C, MATLAB, or SAS to solve complex GEOINT and intelligence data challenges. You will work side-by-side with GEOINT analysts and partners across the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense, developing scalable data structures, systems, models, algorithms, and software tools that enable timely, actionable intelligence.

• Facilitate the integration of emerging GEOINT capabilities, including all related functions, as required.
• Develop, adapt, and integrate algorithms, software tools, and tradecraft to satisfy customer requirements as necessary or directed.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• MA or MS in Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field AND 5 years CURRENT Intelligence.
• Analysis experience; OR BA or BS in Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field AND 10 years CURRENT Intelligence Analysis experience; OR HS diploma/GED AND Specialized Training with at least 15 years of Intelligence Analysis experience to include 10 years of CURRENT GEOINT Analysis experience AND 5 years of Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics experience..

CLEARANCE

• Current/active TS/SCI security clearance

TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Experience utilizing programming languages such as SAS, R, Java, C, MATLAB, ScaLa, or Python; experience accelerating large data transactions across industry- leading GPU architectures to answer analytic questions.
• Experience with assessments, enterprise data integration, governance, and metrics, including the application of metadata management techniques and ability to interrogate databases efficiently using SQL.

CORE COMPETENCIES

• Excellent written & oral communication, research, and analytic skills.
• Expert ability to manage personnel, requirements, and coordination of projects.
• Expert capabilities to research, create, develop, and deliver professional briefings, multimedia presentations, and written reports.
• Experience with tradecraft and publication; ability to coordinate and support cross- community meetings and working groups; assimilate large volumes of information, and independently produce reports using data science focused libraries such as Pandas, Scikit, TensorFlow and Gensim to answer analytical questions.

Preferred Qualification:

• Knowledge of Army structure and defense level intelligence operations: intelligence collection, fusion, analysis, production, and dissemination for intelligence databases and products.
• Knowledge and experience with intelligence operations and in assisting with drafting expert assessments across operations priorities on behalf of the stakeholder.
• Specialized training from any intelligence collection and analysis school or certification to include GEOINT Professional Certification (GPC-F, GPC_IA-II, GPC_GA-II, GPC_IS-II, etc.).
• Knowledge and understanding of the National System for GEOINT (NSG) and Intelligence Community; knowledge of private sector data science/analytics, machine learning, and data visualization communities.

Physical Requirement:Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
