Coherent Solutions is seeking a motivated Data Engineer to join our growing data team in Athens, GA. This role offers hands-on experience with modern data technologies and a chance to work with senior engineers and analysts to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in a data-focused role and a Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Math (or equivalent). Knowledge of SQL, Python, ETL concepts, and data warehousing is expected; remote/hybrid options available.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of practical experience or relevant internship in a data-focused role (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (preferably Python).
• Understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing fundamentals.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and best practices in data engineering.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• English level: Intermediate (B1) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines.
• Support data integration from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files).
• Help ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements.
