Job summary

The Intersect Group is partnering with a mission-driven organization in a highly regulated environment to design and build enterprise data solutions. The role focuses on acquiring, transforming, and managing data from diverse systems while ensuring reliability and performance in Azure-based platforms.

The ideal candidate brings strong SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and Python experience, with healthcare or regulated data knowledge considered highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in database development, data integration, or ETL roles.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory in production.
  • 1+ years in healthcare, financial, or other regulated data domains.
  • Experience with Python development for data workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and architectures.
  • Integrate data from EMR, HR, accounting, CRM and other sources.
  • Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Python.
  • Develop pipelines using AI/LLM for extraction and processing.
  • Perform data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and validation.
  • Maintain Master Data Management and data quality controls.
  • Establish data lineage and monitoring across environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.

Location: 75001 (near Belt Line Road and Dallas North Tollway)

Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite required)

Role Summary

We are seeking a Data Engineer to help design, build, and optimize enterprise data solutions that support strategic business initiatives across multiple functional areas. This role will play a critical part in acquiring, transforming, integrating, and managing data from a variety of enterprise systems while ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure data technologies, and Python, along with a passion for building robust data platforms. You will collaborate closely with engineers, business stakeholders, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes. Experience working with healthcare or other highly regulated data environments is highly desirable.

Key Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in database development, data integration, or ETL development roles.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) in production environments.
  • 1+ years of experience working with healthcare, financial, or other highly regulated data domains.
  • 1+ years of professional experience developing solutions with Python.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, database optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, indexing strategies, and enterprise database architecture.
  • Working knowledge of Azure cloud services and modern data engineering best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with healthcare EDI transactions (835, 837, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • Experience leveraging AI/LLM technologies for document extraction, data processing, or automation initiatives is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver solutions from concept through production.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms and enterprise database architectures.
  • Integrate data from EMR systems, healthcare practice management platforms, HR systems, accounting applications, CRM platforms, and other enterprise sources.
  • Build, optimize, and support complex ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure services, and Python.
  • Develop and orchestrate data pipelines that leverage AI and LLM technologies for document and data extraction.
  • Perform advanced data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and validation to support analytics and reporting initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) processes to improve data consistency and governance.
  • Establish data lineage, monitoring, operational tracking, and data quality controls across enterprise environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify integration gaps, and deliver scalable data solutions aligned to business needs.
