Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators seeks an experienced school administrator to lead district transformation and improve student outcomes. The role emphasizes a strong focus on vision, collaborative leadership, and data-informed decision making.

The successful candidate will oversee instructional integrity, manage resources, and drive district-wide initiatives while engaging families and the community in support of shared goals.

Qualifications

• Illinois Type 75 Administrative License is required.
• Five years of successful teaching experience.
• Three to five years of successful administrative experience.
• A proven track record of increased student achievement.
• A deep knowledge of change theory and organizational development.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, student-centered environment.
• Direct the use of financial, physical, and human resources toward the vision and goals.
• Manage and prioritize budget to support instructional, operational, and fiscal responsibilities.
• Use data to identify areas for improvement and monitor performance.
• Set performance improvement targets for students and staff.
• Collaborate with staff to develop a School Improvement Plan.
• Establish a professional learning community within the school.
• Delegate responsibilities effectively and empower decisions.
• Engage actively in community activities.
• Support and encourage school/business/community partnerships.
• Report to the Superintendent on parent concerns not settled at building level.
• Report in writing to the Superintendent on suspensions or serious injuries.
• Submit weekly staff agendas, parent letters, and school newsletters to the Superintendent.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
