Job summary

Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) seeks a school leader to guide DoDEA educational programs at Camp Lejeune. The role focuses on data-driven decisions for school improvement, developing teacher professional development plans, and implementing programmatic changes in a DoDEA environment.

The position requires expertise in educational leadership, supervision of staff, and collaboration with base offices and the school community to ensure high-quality outcomes for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of successful classroom teaching or equivalent education experience at the Pre-K–12 level.
• Two years in a staff or supervisory role administering school programs and supervising personnel.

Responsibilities

• Uses student achievement data to inform the school improvement plan and teacher development.
• Establishes educator performance elements and evaluates teacher work.
• Initiates and maintains communications between school, students, parents, and base offices providing school services.
• Initiates communications between school administration, students, teachers, parents, the local community, and base offices that provide services to the school and/or staff.
