Job summary

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC seeks a Practice Coordinator to analyze practice operations, financial and utilization trends, and workflow needs; develop recommendations for practice leadership; and manage substantive practice development and operational initiatives under the direction of the Department Operations Directors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a professional services environment.
• Strong project management, analytics, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Exercise independent judgment in evaluating practice group operations, financial trends, workflow issues, and resource needs, and recommend operational strategies to practice leadership.
• Develop, interpret, and implement practice group operating procedures, reporting processes, and workflow improvements.
• Analyze financial, utilization, capacity, staffing, and matter-management data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
• Advise leadership on project priorities, resource allocation, and process improvements.
• Lead major practice group initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Prepare recommendations and business cases for leadership regarding operational changes and technology solutions.
• Investigate and resolve operational matters on behalf of practice leadership.
• Serve as a consultative resource to attorneys, practice leaders, Finance, and Firm Administration.
• Participate in short- and long-term practice group business planning and track progress against objectives.
• Evaluate and implement technology, AI, and automation tools for operations.
