Job summary

San Bernardino County Land Use Services is seeking a Planning Analyst II to support the Current Planning Team in development review and planning activities. The role involves a broad range of analytical and administrative tasks to support departmental operations.

The ideal candidate will collect and analyze data, prepare reports, draft policies, and assist with process improvements and staff trainings while coordinating special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of professional planning/analytical experience.
• Degree(s) must be from an accredited institution; foreign degrees require evaluation.
• Strong research, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Current Planning Team in development review and planning activities.
• Lead or coordinate special projects and studies; collect, analyze and present data.
• Prepare periodic reports for stakeholders; draft new policies and track program compliance.
• Initiate process improvements and provide trainings to staff as requested.
