Job summary

Suzano is seeking a Process Engineer to support our paper mill operations by driving process optimization, leading trials, and delivering improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. The role is hands-on and data‑driven, with a focus on analysis, problem solving, and rapid learning in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with Process Engineering, Environmental, and Operations teams to reduce losses, optimize chemical use, and advance digital upskilling,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering preferred; other engineering degrees may be considered.
• 2–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred; entry-level with potential considered.
• Pulp and paper experience is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Power BI, Minitab, or similar data tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support process improvement initiatives, troubleshooting quality or efficiency issues.
• Coordinate and execute production trials and data collection.
• Analyze process data and generate actionable insights using Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, and Power BI.
• Recommend and test new chemicals or equipment with vendors and production teams.
• Monitor operating parameters and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with operators, managers, and engineers to ensure process reliability.
• Support digital transformation through data projects and dashboard development.
• Maintain cross-shift communication to align on priorities.
• Manage multiple tasks with effective time management.
